The Caravan has been picking new songs, going over schedules, calendars, rehearsing, and gearing up for many upcoming shows. All of a sudden we are getting busy again with performances. and getting new photos as well.
Here is a clip of the Collective’s show from the benefit performance last weekend–Shimmy, Shake , and Share. the show was to raise money for the local homeless shelter, a good cause and a good reason to dance. thanks to Kristi’s man, Anthony for the camera action! The dancers look lovely and I am again, the proud mama!

It gives a nice history of American Tribal Style belly dance as well as Paulette’s own personal history. Tribal Vision also touches on belly dance classes, troupes, and the impact the dance has on women. Several personal insights by various dancers are given, along with beautiful, full-color pictures.

Ah, a filmmaker, Charlie Nano,  just sent me an email about this clip of a Gypsy Caravan show, t at the Fez Ballroom from a few years back! So fun to reminisce, and I especially love the view through the ghawazeeing hips! The song is T’yem—one of my favorites, from the Quest CD. Tom Cooper from Domba is sitting in as a guest musician with Jeff, Bruce, Hans, and Jared. Then Carol and Cammi play the big Italian tambourines on Allesandra, while Dulcinea, Michele, and Karen dance. Did you see Dulcinea’s eyebrow raise?
